| I have recently completed an identity project for a small start-up company called Mobile Mom. Mobile Mom is an errand and delivery service company located in Reading, PA.

THE PROJECT:
Mobile Mom is essentially an errand and local delivery company, but with one difference—it is owned, operated, and staffed by stay-at-home moms. This new concept in errand and delivery services created a unique design challenge; I had to find a way to promote the uniqueness of MobileMom.
Essentially it came down to TRUST. Trust is an important component in this type of business and who can you trust more than your mom? This is the general idea that I wanted to convey with the identity package: an errand and delivery company that you can trust.
THE SOLUTION:
First and foremost I wanted to create a catchy slogan to use along with the logo to reinforce the “trust” message. I eventually developed “We get it there . . . with care.” This tag line worked great along with the final logo and sums up exactly what makes Mobile Mom different from the competition.
The logo needed to reinforce the "trust" message but also needed a sense of urgency, since after all this is still a delivery service. Also, this is a company owned and operated by mothers, so it needed to have a feminine look and color palate. The final identity met all of the expectations we set from the beginning of the project. Both the client and I were pleased with the final results.
We later created an identity package (business cards, brochures, and web site) with the new image for Mobile Mom. |
